Guiraud Vintage:2017The 2010 Guiraud is a little closed on the nose like the 2010 Climens and demands a lot of coaxing from the glass. Eventually it reveals scents of dried honey, fig and ginger but they feel muted at the moment. The palate is much better and more expressive with tangy marmalade and quince notes, good depth and fine tension. It is just a case of waiting for the nose to open because the palate really shows the potential here. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners

I gave it a couple of extra days open to be sure just how lovely it was

spiced apple and overripe Persian melon dominate the Prum 2011 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese gold capsule

The 2007 Vinedo Chadwick has a lot of vanilla-y new oak on the nose although there is plenty of voluptuous black fruit to support it

The 2001 Sorì San Lorenzo is all about finesse and texture

thick and dense

The palate has a rich entry
