Lucien Le Moine, Volnay Santenots Vintage:2014Once again firm reduction dominates the underlying fruit. There is excellent intensity to the tautly muscular, detailed and powerful medium weight flavors that exude a fine minerality onto the lengthy but rather dry finish where the dryness is exacerbated by the abundant gas. Between the reduction and the gas this firmly structured effort is very hard to read and while it may come together that is not a certainty. (89 92?) 2024+

The overall impression of refinement is enhanced by the notably fine grain of the tannins and this is really lovely
