Description
Joseph Voillot, Pommard Pezerolles other_regions_italy(from a . 4 ha parcel planted in 1963). Once again there is generous wood and menthol elements on the spicy and ripe red berry fruit nose that is also trimmed in warm earth nuances. The refined, even lilting, medium weight flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality on the naturally sweet and lingering finish. This more obviously structured effort is almost delicate at present though I suspect that the mid palate will further flesh out with bottle age.
Les Maladières
silky finish that feels very persistent
Massolino counts a quarter of that total
fresh and driving finish
75 ha parcel of vines averaging 35 to 40 years of age)
Note that this well-made effort is going to require at least a few years of patience first
--1989 Bordeaux horizontal
round and very forward flavors lack the same concentration as the Amoureuses and while this is certainly pretty as the tannins are notably fine-grained
which many consider to be the greatest vineyard on Hermitage Hill
the estate's identity hasn't been lost
The two special cuvees are both as good as wine can get
(from two very large parcels of vines totaling over 3 ha)
